Today we have four birthdays, four different musicians from four different bands, who play four different instruments.
Four kinds of awesomeness.
These might not be the exact four guys that i would choose for my "Wouldn't it be cool if..." rock bands, but the fact that they were all born on the same day is pretty exiting for a geek like me who has nothing better to think about.

What a righteous lineup it would be. Dig it.

First off, Pete Townsend of The Who was born in 1945. The original guitar smasher and Rock Opera composer. One of rock's most brilliant songwriters and performers- even if some of his later, non-Who work was a little on the bland side. To this day he remains one of the best guitarists to pick up the instrument.

In 1949, one third ZZ Top, Dusty Hill was born. The bassist/part time vocalist of rocks longest running original lineup was never the flashiest player, and never claimed to or tried to be, but this dude can lay down a serious groove.

In 1952, the late Joey Ramone was born. The stand-alone lead vocalist could easily make the "Ugliest rock stars of all time" list. The guy had one of the most unique voices out there, and he knew how to use it.

And finally, In 1954 The sensible, no nonsense drummer, Phil Rudd was born. He was with AC/DC from '74 to '83. The classic years. He re joined the group in '94, and has been with them ever since.

I kind of wish today was my birthday too. Great company to share it with.
What a fucking amazing band this would be!
